Outreach

Outreach

As a team, we pride ourselves in our engagement with the community. We engage in mentoring teams, presenting at events, creating resources for the community, and so much more.

Open Houses

Catlin Gabel is a private school, and it requires a steady inflow of applicants. One aspect of the application process is attending one of many open houses hosted by the school each year. Current students and faculty work together to explain the Catlin community, from classes to assemblies. The robotics team is also present at the majority of these open houses, and shows prospective families that engineering is a vital part of Catlin.

Competition Outreach

During the regular spring season, we take part in multiple competitions. At these competitions, we engage in outreach with other teams and judges.

Events

Over the years we have created events for the community like Girl’s Generation and BunnyBots. These events allow us to connect with other local teams.

STEMcentric

To connect with students and teachers all over the world, we created online LEGO programming tutorials. With over one million views, these tutorials have provided teachers around the world, regardless of their experience with robotics, with an effective teaching mechanism to inspire kids and introduce them to STEM. You can find the NXT tutorial here and the EV3 tutorial here.
